The Cinema Organ Society was formed some 70 years ago and to celebrate we present ‘Saltaire Cinema’ – an opportunity to step back in time to the hey-day of cinema going with a full programme featuring the most popular film of 1953 ‘The Titfield Thunderbolt’ plus ‘Railway With the Heart of Gold’ (filmed in 1953 on the Talyllyn Railway – the world’s first preserved railway), supporting feature plus music from 1953 and with a railway theme provided by Saltaire’s own David Lowe – an internationally renowned organist. pre-show and interval refreshments by the Interlude Tea Room.
