|Known today as ‘the Mill Building’, the Dining Hall was the first public building erected after Salts Mill was completed.
Normally closed to the public, its history includes use as a factory school, church, Sunday school and library. There were anti-slavery and parliamentary reform meetings, madrigals, and huge suppers for the children of the village.
Your tour and short talk will highlight its retained interior features and its fascinating history. Tours start on the hour and last 50 minutes.
The event is free but numbers are limited to 12 per tour. To guarantee your tour, pre-booking on eventbrite here, is essential.
