Festival thank yous and here’s to 2020!

The glitter has settled at Festival Towers (it gets everywhere!) and we’ve had a few days to reflect on an amazing Festival.

Here’s a few thank yous and how you can help us make the 2020 Festival even bigger and better.

Our Funders, Sponsors and Supporters

Our aim is to keep as many events and activities free for all, and that means raising around £60,000 each year to put on our amazing 10-day Festival.

We’d like to thank all those organisations who donated in some way and helped to fill the Festival coffer for 2019 especially:

  • Bradford Metropolitan District Council, including the Parks and Markets Teams
  • The Ward Blenkinsop Trust
  • Salt Foundation
  • Arts Council England
  • Salts Mill
  • Salt Beer Factory
  • Baildon Town Council
  • Shipley Community Chest
  • Co-op Community Fund

And all the local companies who took out an advert in our programme, our website or our newsletter.

A thank you also to Incommunities and Baildon Recreation Centre for providing additional parking, and Saltaire Wines for selling our tickets!

Our amazing team of volunteers

The Festival is volunteer-led and is organised, promoted and run by people like you, who give up their spare time to make something amazing happen.

A huge thank you to all of this year’s volunteers who organised, ran, publicised, photographed and staffed all our events and activities – we simply couldn’t do it without you.

If you would like to join one of our teams for next year (Events, Communications, Finance and Fundraising, Children’s Activities, General Festival Volunteer) get in touch via: hello@saltairefestival.co.uk and we will point you in the right direction.

Just two of our fabulous volunteers.

Music, food and drink, history and culture

Sawdust on the main stage on finale weekend Saturday.

What’s a Festival without great entertainment and a continuous supply of fantastic food and drink?

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the bands who played across the finale weekend and to all of the stall holders who kept us fed and watered with a fabulous variety of food and drink, as well as different local, regional, national and international wares.

If you’d like to get involved next year you can email bands@saltairefestival.co.uk and stalls@saltairefestival.co.uk

Donate to make Saltaire Festival 2020 happen

If everyone that came to a Festival event gave us £1, we would be well on our way to funding next year’s event. Thanks to everyone who popped some pennies or pounds in our collection buckets, but we do need more.

You can donate to us online and help make Saltaire Festival 2020 a reality!

Support us next year

There’s no rest for the wicked at Festival Towers and we are already on the look out for sponsors, funders and advertisers for 2020.

Our programme and online adverts get seen by tens of thousands of people so what better way to get your name out and about than to support your local Festival.

And if you are a local business that has benefitted from this year’s Festival this is your opportunity to say thank you!

Get in touch via: finance@saltairefestival.co.uk to find out more about our sponsorship and advertising packages.

Festival survey: tell us your thoughts

Each year we ask Festival visitors to tell us a bit about your experiences so that we can continue to create a great Festival for everyone, as well as have supporting evidence for funding applications and sponsors.

Thank you to everyone who has sent us great feedback over social media.

Our 2019 survey is here – please fill it in; it should only take a couple of minutes and its worth a lot to us.

Thank you!
