Who are we?

Saltaire Festival is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers. Our Charity number is 1139151.

Saltaire Festival is also a company limited by Guarantee, registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 05237882). We hold an annual Festival in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire, West Yorkshire.

How do we collect your data?

There are a variety of ways in which we may collect and further process your data in line with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Signing up to our newsletter through our websiteWhen you sign up to our newsletter we ask for a limited amount of information, just your name and email address.By submitting your data through our website you are consenting to us using that data to send you our regular newsletter so that you can keep up to date with the latest Festival news and special offers from our amazing sponsors, without whom the Festival wouldn’t happen.
We won’t use this data for any other reason and we will never share it with anyone else.
The information is stored in MailChimp (our external newsletter system) and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
Contacting us through our website contact form:
When you contact us through our website we ask for a limited amount of information – we just need your email address to be able to respond to you.By submitting your data through our website you are consenting to us using that data to send you a response to your query.
We won’t use this data for any other reason and we will never share it with anyone else.
Your data is stored in Google Drive Cloud and deleted every five years, unless you ask us to delete it before then.
EmailThe data that you provideWe have official Festival email addresses which are restricted to key members of the Festival Team.
When you contact us via email, we will retain your email and our response to it for as long as the business issue remains and there is a legitimate interest.
Our email addresses are provided by Google and messages and data stored within the Google Drive Cloud.
We store this data for five years after your last interaction with us, unless you withdraw consent before that time.
In personThe data that you provideWe love meeting people at events or volunteer meetings. If you provided your contact details to us at an event or meeting, we may contact you to fulfill a request for information made at the time of meeting or sign you up to our newsletter if this was consented to on the day.

This privacy policy was last updated on the 22nd May 2018. We keep it under regular review inline with our Festival Board meetings, so you may wish to check it from time to time. If significant changes are made to the privacy policy, for example, affecting how we use your personal data, we will explicitly publish these.
