Saltaire Festival is the biggest annual community event in Bradford district but receives no guaranteed funding and is a registered charity reliant on the time and skills of a small group of unpaid volunteers.
In line with the festival’s charitable aims of engagement and inclusivity, the trustees try to keep admission free to as many events and activities as possible, and keep down prices for ticketed events.
Staging the festival safely and successfully costs about £60,000, which has to be raised by volunteers, through grants, sponsorship, advertising and donations.
If everyone who came and enjoyed the Festival donated a pound per person each time they visited, we could guarantee the Festival each year with even more free events and activities for all.
You can donate to the Festival at any of our events or online through our JustGiving page.
And look out for the ‘rattling tins’ over the Festival itself.
We thank you for your continued support. We couldn’t do it without you.
The festival is a not-for-profit enterprise, with the formal objective to advance education in the arts and in the culture and heritage of Saltaire and its surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively by:
