Tuesday is the Saltaire Poetry evening featuring this year’s poetry competition, Emma Storr, with support from Rhubarb poets Nick Allen, Kristina Diprose, Lorna Faye Dunsire and Mike Farren. Join us at 7pm in the basement of the United Reformed Church, in the same location as the Aire Valley Arts exhibition. You don’t need to pre-book – just turn up to the pay-as-you-feel event. Wednesday is Airey Tales at Caroline Social Club – 7:30pm
The facts and fibs about the River Aire. The premiere of a new play written to celebrate the return to the rivier of living creatures threatened with extinction. This play is suitable for all ages and tickets are available to buy on the door or in advance here.
Thursday sees a variety of events with the City Lights – silent cinema with organ event at Victoria Hall at 7:30pm (BOOK HERE) & the MUCH anticipated comedy evening at TLR at Caroline Social Club, featuring Paul ‘Silky’ White, Nick Page, Dave Johns, Nick Doody & Seeta Wrightson.
